The good news is that with the right strategies and a bit of self-awareness, you can absolutely excel in project management by playing to your strengths and addressing the hurdles in your way. Here’s how you can make it work:

Lean Into Structure and Routine

If you’re on the autism spectrum, having a solid structure and routine can be a lifesaver. It helps keep anxiety in check and makes it easier to focus.

Use project management tools like Trello, Asana, or Microsoft Planner to visually map out your projects, breaking them down into bite-sized tasks. This not only keeps you organised but also makes everything feel more manageable.

For ADHD, clear deadlines and time-blocking can make a big difference. The Pomodoro technique—working in 25-minute bursts with short breaks—can help you stay on track without burning out.
